A transport planning consultancy in Gatwick is seeking a Senior / Associate Transport Planner to lead projects and mentor junior team members. Job Title : Senior / Associate Transport Planner

Location : Gatwick (with flexibility for 1 day WFH and 1 day in London)

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected and rapidly expanding transport planning consultancy in their search for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior or Associate Transport Planner to join their busy team in Gatwick.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Transport Planner looking to take the next step in their career, leading a variety of projects, liaising with clients and local authorities, and contributing to the continued success of a dynamic and growing transport planning team.

The Role
  • Lead small to medium-sized projects from inception to completion.
  • Support and contribute to larger-scale projects.
  • Attend client meetings and liaise with local authorities and external consultants.
  • Work closely with the consultancy’s multi-disciplinary team.
  • Mentor and support junior planners within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have :

  • At least four years’ experience as a Transport Planner in either the public or private sector (flexibility on level of experience considered).
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant software such as TEMPro, ARCADY, PICADY, LinSig, TRICS, and Excel.
  • A Master’s Degree in Transport Planning (desirable but not essential).
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIHT, CILT – desirable but not essential).
  • A full clean driving licence.
