A major UK water company is seeking a Senior Technician at Maple Lodge STW in Rickmansworth. The role involves providing flexible support to operations, leading field activities, and contributing to health and safety improvements. Ideal candidates will have NVQ 3 in Operating Process Plant and relevant management training, along with strong communication skills. This role offers a starting salary of £33,000, performance-related pay, and a range of benefits including generous leave and pension schemes.
We have a fantastic opportunity to join Thames Water as Senior Technician based at our Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works.
As our Senior Technician, you will provide flexible cover to support the existing operation teams, depending on resource need and priority. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious, wanting to help lead a team to success and take that next step towards management. There will be opportunities to take ownership of various project work, write working procedures and instructions, be involved in H&S improvements, meet contractors, raise quotes, and bring fresh ideas to improve processes. You will lead key field-based activities and support the Performance Manager in coordinating a team of technicians on the site. This is a time to contribute to a greener future, tackling climate change and minimising environmental impact.
Base Location: Maple Lodge STW – WD3 9SQ
Working Pattern: 38 hours Monday to Friday, plus standby and overtime opportunities. Upon completion of essential company training. All PPE and tools are provided.
