Job description

YTL Construction UK (Infrastructure) is embarking on its most ambitious capital delivery programme to date, and we're looking for a Senior Network Modeller (Supply) with appreciable relevant experience to join our Modelling team.

What you'll do

Reporting directly to the Supply Network Modelling Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the modelling team's work, including the following:

  • building new models and using existing models to appraise the supply to new development proposals and capital schemes, and making recommendations to all relevant team members and stakeholders
  • undertaking hydraulic studies to prepare outline solutions
  • contributing to leakage reduction initiatives by modelling pressure reduction and system optimisation, plus producing leakage‑related reports
  • report writing, project presentation and project management, including external consultant‑led studies
  • analysing data using GIS (Geographic Information Systems), telemetry and meter‑based systems and Excel
  • mentoring and training of junior staff entering the discipline.
What you'll need

You’ll be a Supply Modeller with time‑served experience in supply modelling, ideally using Infoworks WS Pro.

In addition, you’ll have:

  • a degree, preferably in a scientific or mathematical subject
  • chartered status or be working towards membership to an appropriate professional institution (eg, CIWEM or ICE)
  • excellent IT skills and knowledge of associated software (Excel, GIS, telemetry, loggers and associated systems)
  • sound report writing and the ability to communicate complex issues to team members and all relevant stakeholders, including delivering presentations
  • team working skills and the ability to contribute positively to the development of supply modelling within the team and the wider business
