The Role - Job Overview
  • Lead the delivery of structural designs using both advanced software and hand calculations

  • Manage projects from feasibility to completion, including site inspections, reporting, and client liaison

  • Collaborate with contractors, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure project success

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the team

  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, planning approvals, and listed building regulations

  • Monitor budgets, resources, and contractor performance to deliver on time and within scope

  • Support business development by building strong client relationships and promoting the consultancy's services

About You - Job Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Structural Engineering (MEng or equivalent)

  • Significant experience in a consultancy environment, ideally across insurance, surveying, architecture, or planning projects

  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards, industry legislation, and best practice

  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex schemes on time and budget

  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and IT skills

  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think methodically and commercially

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in client-facing roles
