This opportunity provides one individual with the chance to work, on variety of Temporary works projects, on a hybrid working arrangement, operating four days a week from our client's London office and one day from home. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of structural designs, within a variety of Temporary works projects, from concept to completion, ensuring ongoing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and verify structural specifications, drawings, calculations, and reports, across all project stages, whilst ensuring alignment with client requirements.
  • Oversee project teams, delivering task delegation, performance reviews, and junior engineer guidance and mentoring, maintaining continuous professional growth.
  • Observe project delivery, programme milestones, and budgets, promptly identifying any risks and concerns, allowing for appropriate escalation.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, and other relevant bodies, proposing structural solutions to potential issues, ensuring high quality project delivery.
  • Represent the business throughout client presentations and proposal preparation, whilst ensuring excellence by integrating structural engineering advancements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline, with a chartered status, or actively working towards attaining one.
  • Demonstratable experience managing teams and producing designs for a variety of Temporary works projects, with the use of relevant software tools.
  • Proficient acknowledgement of relevant industry and building standards, principles, and relevant design codes and construction strategies.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are followed.
  • Strong organisational skills with an attention to detail, whilst assuming a proactive and problem-solving approach to all works.
