A regional health trust in the UK is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to assess and intervene with individuals who have speech, language, and communication needs. The role involves providing comprehensive assessments, delivering communication strategies, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance mental health services within corrections. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and experience working with mental health or complex needs. This position is pivotal in improving the well-being of service users.
The SLT will be responsible for providing assessment and intervention with individuals with speech, language and communication needs and swallowing. The role is an integral part of the Prison Mental Health team within the wider Health and Justice SLT.
A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and significant experience in Speech and Language Therapy, especially with service users in mental health or learning disabilities with complex needs.
