Job summary

A leader in the space sector is seeking a Senior Software Validation Engineer to join their team in Farnborough. This permanent role ensures the quality and performance of critical aerospace systems. You will develop system test plans, investigate test failures, and support chipset validation. Ideal candidates have a degree in Electronic or Computer Science Engineering and experience in testing telecommunication or satellite systems. The role involves working with DevOps, Jenkins, and automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience in system testing, preferably with exposure to non-GUI testing.
• Familiarity with automation test frameworks.
• Proven programming experience in an automated test environment (C/C++/Python, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the system test plan in collaboration with development and test teams.
• Investigate root causes of test case failures and provide corrective actions.
• Compile regular test execution summary reports with metrics.

Skills

Experience in testing telecommunication or satellite systems

Proficiency in planning and developing system tests

Excellent interpersonal skills

Knowledge of RF fundamentals and communications theory

Independent and self-motivated
