All about the role

As a Senior C# .NET Software Engineer within our Grocery & Retail Domain, your work will be the face of one of the world’s leading food delivery companies, primarily for our customer-facing apps. Your main focus will be speeding up the delivery of high-priority product features for our customers. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and refining scalable, high-quality software solutions that serve a diverse global market. You will be collaborating with multiple product and engineering teams around the world to help unlock new opportunities for our partners and enhance our customers’ experience.

This will include creating and improving various back-end components for company projects, utilizing technologies such as C#, .NET, GitHub CI, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Master the craft of writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code within a high-performing team;
• Lead research and design architectural solutions in a wide ecosystem;
• Take ownership of projects, mentor peers, and collaborate effectively. Introduce innovative ideas and develop robust, well-considered code;
• Adhere to and help refine the team’s standards and processes. Contribute to setting these standards to ensure continuous improvement;
• Pursue ongoing personal development by learning from teammates and applying this knowledge to benefit the team and enhance the applications;
• Clearly communicate the technical efforts of your team to other engineering groups;
• Own the responsibility for your updates from development through to their successful performance in production;

What will you bring to the table?

• Strong experience with C# and .NET frameworks;
• Skilled in writing clean, isolated, and reusable components for software development;
• Demonstrable software architecture skills by navigating complex projects, conducting research, and creating Architectural Decision Records.
• Experience with integration, unit, and system tests to ensure application robustness;
• Proficient in using and building RESTful APIs;
• Be knowledgeable in various database systems, including RDBMS and NoSQL databases, with the ability to design and interact with complex data models;
• Have strong foundations in software engineering principles and best practices, including but not limited to data structures, design patterns, microservice and event-driven architectures, object-oriented design, and code optimization;
• Be proficient in DevOps practices, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, etc;
