A leading equipment rental provider in Warrington is seeking a Senior Software Developer. The candidate will work on innovative applications, provide mentoring, and facilitate the agile development process. If so, we’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Developer to join our team at Sunbelt Rentals UK. It’s our vision to own the future of rentals and our mission to deliver a world-class experience. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing both internal and customer facing, business critical and innovative applications, in both new and legacy technologies where required, and contribute to the architectural designs where necessary. You will also provide technical support over these applications to ensure any faults are resolved quickly and effectively. As part of the role, you will also support and mentor other more junior members of the team and perform code reviews to identify basic technical and logical error and help ensure good coding standards.
You will be expected to be involved in the sprint cycles and planning / review sessions, as well as the iterative build, test, and deployment processes for your relevant team. As part of the role, you will be interacting with and supporting all levels of the business in order to deliver the solutions requested through our request for work front door process.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring an average of one day per month in the office. The primary work location is our Warrington Office at Birchwood Park, with the possibility of longer-term part-time remote work. Additionally, the role may involve travel to other locations within our depot network for implementing and testing new applications or enhancements using appropriate test rigs.
