This is a fixed-term maternity cover role (9-12 months).
Responsibilities
- Oversee our presence on all major social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok. Create story-led content, playful, social-first tactics, and drive engagement.
- Manage our freelance videographers. Serve as the main point of contact, providing direction and feedback to drive success.
- Collaborate with the broader team to create a dynamic social calendar, supporting the overall marketing strategy and aligning messaging around upcoming initiatives.
- Work closely with Guest Services on community management, helping address customer enquiries, feedback, and concerns. Be the point of escalation for challenging or complicated comments.
- Contribute to photography and videography shoots, providing creative direction where needed and ensuring brand consistency. Maintain relationships with production partners, ensuring high-quality deliverables within budget.
- Be part of a team that creates compelling content in an agile way using an iPhone for photography and videography, resonates with our audience, follows relevant trends, and aligns with our values.
- Craft and edit on-brand copy for all posts across varied platforms.
- Manage social media budgets and optimise spend.
- Curate UGC and manage stories to showcase everything happening in Dishoom cafes.
- Regularly analyse social media metrics and prepare reports to track performance against key objectives.
- Support the Head of PR, Social and Partnerships on an ad hoc basis, suggesting ideas for collaborations and initiatives.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Spent 3-5 years running social media (ideally in food, drink or hospitality) with a track record of building campaigns that land.
- Proven ability to spark engagement and create content that viewers feel moved to like, share, and discuss.
- Natural storyteller with a sharp creative eye and an understanding of what makes imagery and copy resonate.
- Clear, warm communicator who loves collaborating and building cross-team relationships.
- Calm under pressure, able to juggle priorities with good cheer in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in social tools and analytics; comfortable using data to inform ideas.
- Hands-on, collaborative, and motivated to create something brilliant with the team.
- A love of food and drink, and ideally curiosity about South Asian culture.
- Experience working with agencies and guiding them with clarity and kindness.
- Tenacious, entrepreneurial, and energized by a creative, non-corporate, heart-led environment.
