Job description

Abatec is assisting their client, a tier-one civil engineering contractor, in the recruitment of a permanent Senior Site Engineer to work on a rail project in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key part in a high-profile rail infrastructure project, working with a collaborative and forward-thinking team.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a rail and civils environment, with a background in groundworks, RC structures, steelwork and building works, and will be confident leading and developing a site engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide survey and setting out information to enable design and construction of the works
• Carry out quality assurance checks in line with company procedures, ensuring safe, high-quality and timely delivery
• Liaise with site and development teams to ensure clear understanding and accurate implementation of engineering information
• Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, procedures and engineering specifications
• Lead and develop the site engineering team, setting high standards for safety, professionalism and quality

Qualifications

• Valid CSCS card, PTS and other relevant training
• HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in groundworks, RC structures, steelwork and building within a rail and civils environment
• Understanding of AutoCAD
