Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a dedicated professional for control projects. The ideal candidate will manage all stages, from design to commissioning, focusing on creating intuitive PLC and HMI software. Where will you be working?

This role will join BGEN - one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food and beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

What will you be doing?

You will be involved in every stage of a control project, from design through development, testing, and commissioning.

You will be supported with clear technical documentation that keeps everything simple and transparent.

You will be creating PLC and HMI software that makes systems intuitive and reliable, and you will be developing SCADA solutions that give powerful tools for monitoring and control.

You will be adding value by reverse engineering existing systems to produce accurate design documentation.

You will be mentoring colleagues, sharing knowledge, and helping the whole team grow together with confidence and care.

What you'll bring:
  • Experience with Siemens (and ideally Rockwell) hardware and software
  • Background in the Water and Wastewater treatment sector
  • Proven track record delivering complex control projects
  • Skill in interpreting client standards and user requirementsAbility to reverse engineer existing control software with care
