Senior Sales Manager - Identity & Biometric Solutions

Location : Remote mostly but must be close to Reading, UK (Hybrid - preference for candidates within easy reach of Reading / London)

The Opportunity

They are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their Identity & Biometric Solutions business line. This role focuses on selling advanced identity, biometric, and public security solutions to UK government customers.

You will play a key role in shaping and winning strategic opportunities across central government, law enforcement, and border agencies, acting as a trusted advisor to customers and partners.

About Identity & Biometric Solutions

They deliver secure identity solutions to governments and public authorities worldwide, including :

  • Passports, ID cards, and driving licences
  • Biometric enrolment and border control systems
  • Digital identity platforms and mobile identity wallets
  • Criminal forensics and real-time facial recognition solutions

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute winning sales strategies, including customer targeting and go-to-market plans
  • Identify and shape new business opportunities, including partner-led scenarios
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with UK government stakeholders
  • Act as a customer advisor, understanding business needs, pain points, and value drivers
  • Lead opportunity capture activities, identifying risks and mitigation strategies early
  • Generate and manage a high-quality sales pipeline through networking, lead follow-up, and proactive engagement
Key Performance Indicators
  • Achievement of bookings, revenue, and individual sales objectives
  • Quality, sustainability, and profitability of the sales funnel and pipeline
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a senior sales role within a services or solutions environment.
  • Proven success selling to UK Government via competitive tender processes.
  • Strong understanding of central government, borders, law enforcement, or Home Office environments.
  • Excellent consultative selling, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and collaborative.
  • Strong organisational and opportunity management skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, commercial studies, or related field
  • Alternatively, A-levels with relevant vocational qualifications
Security Clearance

This role requires SC Clearance . Existing clearance is advantageous; otherwise, successful candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.

Eligibility typically requires UK residency for the past 5 years (3 years may be considered in some cases, subject to checks).
