A leading consulting firm in London seeks a Senior Risk and Controls Analyst to strengthen risk management practices. You will design internal controls, support risk frameworks, and oversee compliance in a dynamic regulatory landscape. The ideal candidate has proven experience in risk or compliance and excellent communication skills. This role offers a salary of £60,000 - £65,000 with a 10% bonus and requires 3 days onsite work.
Senior Risk and Controls Analyst – Location: London – Salary: £60,000 - £65,000. We are recruiting for a Senior Risk and Controls Analyst to join a finance-aligned function within a highly regulated business that is undergoing a significant transformation. This is a second line of defence role with responsibility for strengthening risk management, controls and assurance across the organisation.
Design and embed effective internal controls, starting from risk identification through to control design and monitoring
Support the development and delivery of risk frameworks and policies that are fit for purpose in a regulated environment
Maintain and review risk registers, ensuring risks are captured, assessed and updated in a timely and accurate way
Provide oversight and assurance over the control environment, including preparation of regular reports, updates and dashboards for senior stakeholders
Contribute to governance forums and support compliance with licence, regulatory and policy requirements
Work closely with colleagues across finance, compliance and assurance to ensure consistent standards and strong outcomes
Proven experience in a second line of defence role within risk, compliance or assurance
Strong understanding of risk frameworks, internal controls and governance
Confident in risk register management and risk reporting
Excellent communication skills, able to influence and work with stakeholders at all levels
Background in finance, audit or compliance preferred but not essential
High level of integrity with the ability to operate independently while building effective working relationships
Comfortable working 3 days per week in the office
£65,000 salary, 10% bonus
