A local governmental authority in Coventry is seeking a Revenue Officer to support the Revenue Service team. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of Business Rates and Council Tax decisions, mentor staff, and maintain audit records. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, with experience in a Revenue and Benefits environment preferred. This role is central to improving service delivery and customer satisfaction in the council's operations.
The Revenue Service is a dedicated team of more than 60 staff working to collect £340 million of corporate revenue, helping Coventry provide essential services. As a Revenue Officer you will support Team Managers by quality‑checking that legislation and procedures are applied correctly, focusing mainly on Business Rates and, where desirable, Council Tax and Enforcement.
