A leading healthcare trust in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated individual to lead a team of research nurses in the Emergency Department. This role requires a strong background in clinical emergency care, coupled with substantial research experience. You will be responsible for the management of various research studies and will promote the culture of research within the department. The role offers significant professional development opportunities and requires effective leadership skills.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of research nurses in our Emergency Department (ED). The role is fully funded by the RDN and is part of a highly successful research community within the department covering a broad range of specialties.
You must have an extensive ED clinical background plus a minimum of two years of research experience at Band 6 in both commercial and non-commercial interventional portfolio studies and be confident in their set up, effective delivery and performance management. You will lead a team of highly motivated research nurses, a coordinator and admin support and there will shortly be a dedicated area for research within the department. There will be opportunities for professional development in mentoring, budget management, teaching, presenting and other personal objectives you may have.
This team has been highly successful in establishing a culture of research within the department and is supported by the RDN Specialty Group Lead who is based in the ED. They perform to a high level when meeting NIHR targets for commercial and non commercial research and lead on research events for the region to promote engagement.
PLEASE NOTE: Interviews will be face to face and you will be asked to give a 10 minute presentation.
