Senior Recreation Assistant

Surrey Sports Park is one of the UK's leading sports and physical activity venues. We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Recreation Assistant to join our dynamic team.

In this vital role, you'll be responsible for supervising a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the centre. This includes delivering outstanding guest service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and ensuring that all activities and areas are prepared and managed to a professional standard.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the Recreation Assistant team
  • Oversee the setup, maintenance, and dismantling of sports equipment
  • Provide poolside supervision, including water-based rescues
  • Ensure all activities run safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Uphold and promote high standards of health and safety
  • Deliver excellent customer service and respond to enquiries professionally
  • Produce KPI reports for various objectives
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Good understanding of health and safety in a leisure environment
  • Ability to manage and prioritise daily operational and admin tasks
  • Valid First Aid at Work Certificate and a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
  • (Training and funding will be provided for the right candidate)
Additional information

You must be willing to work 40 hours per week (rota-based, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends)
