Senior Quantity Surveyor – Water Treatment

Location: London

Contract: Long-term contract

Sector: Water / Utilities / Infrastructure

A leading tier one contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major, high-profile water treatment frameworks across London. This is a long-term contract opportunity working on complex, regulated infrastructure projects that sit at the heart of the UK water sector’s investment programmes.

The role will suit a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in water or wastewater treatment, comfortable operating within large framework environments and managing commercial performance across technically challenging schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full commercial management of water treatment projects from pre-construction through to final account
  • Cost control, forecasting and reporting in line with framework and client requirements
  • Managing subcontract procurement, administration and payment
  • Preparation, negotiation and agreement of variations and compensation events
  • Supporting project teams with commercial strategy and risk management
  • Working closely with delivery, planning and engineering teams to ensure financial performance
  • Liaising with client representatives and internal commercial leadership
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within water or wastewater treatment projects
  • Background working for a tier one contractor or on major infrastructure frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract (NEC3/NEC4)
  • Ability to manage complex commercial issues in live project environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable working on long-term, programme-based frameworks
