Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the company: Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take full commercial ownership across a portfolio of fit‑out and refurbishment projects. This role will see you working closely with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure financial control, contractual compliance, and strong commercial outcomes throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing budgets, cost plans, and forecasts from tender through to final account
• Overseeing procurement, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value
• Controlling variations, change management, and cost reporting to maintain project profitability
• Advising project and delivery teams on contractual issues, risks, and commercial strategy
• Supporting value engineering initiatives to align cost, design, and buildability
• Producing accurate commercial reports and presenting financial updates to senior management
• Mentoring junior commercial team members and helping to strengthen commercial processes within the business

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within commercial office fit‑out, refurbishment, or design & build environments
• Strong understanding of cost management, procurement, and commercial control on complex projects
• Sound contractual knowledge and experience managing variations, valuations, and risk
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Commercially astute, detail‑focused, and proactive in identifying opportunities for value
• Capable of leading commercial elements independently while mentoring junior team members
