Base: Centenary Clinic

Contract: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative individuals to join the Rotherham Talking Therapies Service.

We currently have positions for Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join the Rotherham team where you will work alongside a team of highly skilled and diverse therapists.

This post is predominantly a Face to Face contract requiring applicants to be geographically located within travel distance to our main office in Rotherham.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Support the manager as required, across the range of his/her duties as appropriate within the grading of this post.
  • In conjunction with the Team Managers, develop efficient pathways of care.
  • Working with practice teams to ensure an integrated approach to care.
  • Deliver clinical and managerial supervision to junior members of staff.
  • Liaise with other professionals and agencies to ensure patients receive appropriate interventions.
  • Promote and maintain an effective multi-disciplinary/multi-agency approach to care.
  • Participate in service and multi agency development.

Person Specification
Knowledge
  • Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary care
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of the issues surrounding work and the impact it can have on mental health
  • Knowledge of medication used in anxiety and depression and other common mental health problems
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the need to use evidence based psychological therapies and how it relates to this post.
Application requirements
  • Qualification from PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate)
  • Registration or working towards registrations with BABCP
Experience
  • Significant experience of working with people with common mental health problems
  • Ability to demonstrate a range of post-qualifying experiences
  • Experience of working in Primary Care Services
  • Experience of working in an IAPT service
