We are looking for someone who can:

  • Oversee all aspects of project planning, resource coordination, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, milestone tracking, and reporting to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Review, update, and implement state-wide clinical practice guidelines and models of care to enhance emergency care service delivery.
  • Contribute to specialist teams to develop and implement key initiatives, ensuring high performance, quality outcomes, and adherence to timeframes and budgets.
  • Offer high-level guidance and support to NSW emergency care clinicians on project development, implementation, and management.

What you will be doing

The Senior Project Officer will lead and support the development and implementation of high-priority projects aimed at enhancing the quality and safety of emergency care services across NSW. Working closely with the Emergency Care Institute Network Manager, Emergency Care Clinical Director, Emergency Care team, ACI streams, directorates and key stakeholders, the Senior Project Officer will play a pivotal role in driving improvements and fostering collaboration to achieve better outcomes for emergency care.

  • Employment Type: Full Time Exempt (up to August 2026)
  • Position Classification: Health Manager Level 3
  • Remuneration: $127,150.00 - $144,444.00 per annum excluding Superannuation
  • Hours Per Week: 40 (38 standard + 2hrs toward ADO)

Selection Criteria
  1. Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant discipline and demonstrated health management or leadership experience and an understanding of the contemporary issues, challenges and directions facing emergency health care services.
  2. Advanced oral and written communication, interpersonal, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative approach, and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Demonstrated experience in project management and the implementation of local/regional projects, frameworks and/or initiatives with statewide application.
  4. Highly developed organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully coordinate and manage competing priorities, deliver quality outcomes and meet tight deadlines while using judgment and discretion when needed.
