If you’re a Private Client Solicitor with technical excellence and a natural flair for mentoring, this is your opportunity to make a real impact at a longstanding, highly respected regional law firm.

You’ll join a busy, collaborative private client department that offers a cradle-to-grave service for clients and is one of the largest and most established in the region. This is a genuinely senior role that will see you take ownership of complex matters and become a go-to figure within the team.

You’ll work alongside a highly experienced Partner and play a key role in developing junior colleagues while managing a varied caseload that includes farming estates, trust matters and probate. You’ll also be encouraged to explore and develop areas of practice not currently covered, such as agriculture.

Who we’re looking for

• Senior Private Client Solicitor with broad experience across wills, trusts, probate, estate planning and elderly client matters
• Technically excellent, especially in complex and high-value matters
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members
• Experience managing large estates or agricultural matters
• STEP qualification
• A natural mentor and approachable leader, no egos or fear-based management

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a varied caseload, including complex trust and probate matters
• Handling large and high-net-worth agricultural estates
• Working closely with the Partner on business-critical matters
• Providing mentoring and guidance to junior lawyers and trainees
• Building relationships with clients and acting as a trusted advisor
• Over time, developing new areas of work and contributing to business development

Salary & Benefits

• Around £65,000 DOE, open to discussion for those with a following or proven track record in work generation
• Clear progression path: Principal Associate to Legal Director and eventually Partner
• Office-based role to enable supervision and team support
• New, more commutable office location in Shrewsbury
