Senior Practitioner – Connected Carers Team in County Durham

County Durham’s Connected Carers Team is calling for a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join our dynamic group in an ongoing locum contract position. Located in Seaham, this full-time role offers an attractive rate of £32.73 per hour.

What you will do
  • Conduct Reg 24 viability assessments and Full Connected Carers assessments to ensure suitable placements for children.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and reviews with our Connected Carers to facilitate their transition into caregiving roles.
  • Uphold the values and objectives of the Connected Carers Team, promoting the welfare and interests of children.
  • Work closely with children, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, contributing to the team’s knowledge and understanding of fostering services.
Requirements of the Senior Practitioner
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant frontline experience in UK social services as a qualified Social Worker.
