Qualifications

• Must have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• MRTPI status or working towards chartership is required.
• Several years' experience within a consultancy or local authority environment is expected.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development management is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important.
• Ability to manage projects independently and work to deadlines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and pre-application submissions.
• Provide clear, strategic planning advice to clients across multiple sectors.
• Undertake site appraisals and planning policy assessments.
• Prepare high-quality planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and mentor junior members of the planning team.

Education

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline
