Job Title: Senior Planner

Position: Permanent

Location: Macclesfield

The role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Planner to play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure projects across the UK. You'll be part of a collaborative team in a safety-first, client-focused environment, where your skills will help shape, renew, and enhance critical infrastructure for the future.

What you'll be doing
  1. Creating and managing detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools
  2. Turning complex project plans into clear, achievable steps and ensuring alignment across stakeholders
  3. Tracking progress, forecasting timelines, and resolving potential delays before they impact delivery
  4. Liaising with engineering, management, and client teams to keep projects on track
  5. Analysing critical paths, updating schedules, and producing reports such as S-curves and productivity charts
  6. Supporting the delivery of projects to agreed budgets, timelines, and quality standards
What we're looking for
  • 3–5+ years' experience in construction planning and scheduling
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and documentation
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools
  • Experience in budgeting, cost control, and resource planning
  • Analytical mindset with strong risk management and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of BIM and large-scale infrastructure projects is desirable
  • Understanding of safety regulations and quality standards
  • Flexibility to travel when required
