An excellent opportunity exists at a major healthcare trust in the UK for an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join the Neuroscience Out-Patient Physiotherapy team. This role focuses on managing outpatients with neurological conditions and offers development in clinical and leadership skills. Ideal candidates will have significant postgraduate experience and an interest in neurological physiotherapy. Mentorship is provided, and there are opportunities for further training and research involvement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Neuroscience Out-Patient Physiotherapy team. The post holder will be employed as a Senior Physiotherapist and will have the opportunity to advance their knowledge and experience managing out patients with neurological conditions.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospital trusts in the country, close to the North Yorkshire Moors and within easy reach of Newcastle and Leeds. It comprises two acute hospitals, The James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital Northallerton and a number of community hospitals.
The James Cook University Hospital is a major trauma centre and provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracic, vascular surgery and cancer services.
The post holder will work across both The James Cook University Hospital and Redcar Primary Care Hospital which have well-established, large, progressive and dynamic Physiotherapy Services that continue to develop and grow with the Trust.
The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from the Senior Specialist Physiotherapists and Therapy Service Lead.
This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills. We have a comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops and clinical supervision. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research.
As a Senior Physiotherapist you will be encouraged to develop your skills and to supervise assistants and more junior staff and be involved in the clinical education of students.
This post is suitable for Physiotherapists with significant postgraduate experience and an interest in neurological physiotherapy enabling them to build on their core skills developed as a physiotherapist.

After you complete these six and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.
