Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Production team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). You will be responsible for assisting in the provision, management and development of a safe and efficient pharmacy production service at NUH. Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, assembly, manufacture, final check and release of medicinal products manufactured in the Pharmacy Production departments at NUH.Assist in the provision, management and development of safe and efficient pharmacy production services at NUH.
  • Work as part of a team and assist in the preparation, assembly, manufacture, final check and release of medicinal products.
  • Maintain close liaison with other members of the pharmacy production, clinical pharmacy and clinical trials teams延期 and regular interaction with other Trust staff and external clients.
  • Promote NUH Production Units as a centre of excellence to current and potential outside customers, supporting the delivery of the Trust's research capacity and capability.

Employment Terms
  • Part‑time, 32 hours per week, on a fixed‑term 12‑month contract covering maternity leave.
  • Secondment cover will also be considered.
  • Work required at both the Sterile Production Unit (SPU) and Cytotoxic Chemotherapy Production Unit (Cytolab) depending on service demands.
  • The Pharmacy Production department has four manufacturing areas: Sterile Production Unit (SPU), non‑sterile manufacturing unit (NSM), pharmacy packing unit (PPU) based at Queens Medical Centre, and Cytotoxic Chemotherapy Production Unit (Cytolab) located at City Hospital.
  • Additional Information

    By mutual agreement between the post holder and the lead pharmacists, the post holder may undertake ward‑based clinical duties providing a clinical pharmacy service if desired to maintain clinical ward‑based competencies and further experience in the treatment and care of cancer patients.
