We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Lyndon House, full-time. This is much more than a traditional managerial role you will lead the operational delivery of NHS outpatient services, working closely with clinicians, back-office teams, and partner organisations to ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and innovative care.

Main duties of the job

This is a dynamic, operationalleadership role ensuring the delivery of high-quality, community-based NHSservices. You will manage teams, oversee day-to-day operations, and collaboratewith clinical and administrative staff to improve patient pathways and serviceefficiency.

Your responsibilities includeleading the operational management of a portfolio of NHS services, particularlywithin surgical specialties; collaborating with clinicians, back-office teams,and external partners to deliver safe, efficient, and patient-focused services;overseeing service performance, governance, and compliance with national andlocal standards; and driving innovation and service improvements throughdigital tools, automation, and process redesign.

You will also manage, mentor, anddevelop large multidisciplinary teams, contributing as a confident andsupportive leader who brings our CARE values to life in every decision,interaction, and initiative.

Were seeking an experiencedoperational leader with a strong background in healthcare service delivery,ideally within NHS or community-based services. You will bring a proven trackrecord of managing complex services and large multidisciplinary teams, with theability to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • First consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral, available 7 days a week across community locations

Person Specification
Knowledge
  • Extensive operational experience in a relevant senior role within the NHS and/or private sector.
  • Degree and postgraduate level educated or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment in a similar capacity, preferably with a background in managing surgical specialties.
  • Good understanding of the national direction of travel around Integrated Care Systems and the opportunities this creates.

  • Highly organised.
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with partner organisations.
  • Extensive experience of working in an operational environment.
