A leading health organization in Wales is seeking an experienced medical secretary to provide high-quality administration service to clinical teams. You will manage office organization, support consultants, and oversee day-to-day operations. Candidates should hold NVQ Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent and have relevant experience. Additional qualifications in team leadership and typing are desirable. This role requires strong Microsoft Office skills and ability to work well within a team, focusing on patient care and efficiency.
An accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies (e.g. Local Authority, Third Sector, CAIS) in order to provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers. The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, high‑quality medical secretarial and administrative service to consultants, doctors, junior medical teams and specialist nursing teams, and other health professionals. The post holder will be responsible for the guidance and direction of the team dealing with appropriate day‑to‑day issues to oversee the smooth running of the department and provide support to the line manager.

To co‑ordinate and maintain arrangements to facilitate the patient’s progression along a defined pathway. To maintain the office organisation and monitor the workload related to the administration team.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
