Role description

We are looking for a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with previous experience working in a consultancy environment to join our Places Design Practice. In this role, you'll be delivering elegant and efficient mechanical design solutions on exciting and challenging projects for key clients.

Role accountabilities

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing technical aspects of small projects or components of larger projects, meeting financial, quality and timeframe objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations.

You will work collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution and you'll participate in the development of technical proposals. You will also present technical solutions to clients.

As a Senior Engineer, you will lead reviews of project deliverables on behalf of the mechanical engineering discipline and you'll be expected to manage project teams of up to 5 people, ensuring work is allocated appropriately, resources are fully utilised and that any issues are resolved.
