Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a forward–thinking design team working for a well established Building Services Consultancy.

The ideal candidate will be confident working across disciplines, contributing to innovative, sustainable engineering solutions in sectors such as commercial offices, high–end residential and student accommodation. You ll be using cutting–edge design tools and analysis software to deliver high–quality, accurate project information within agreed budgets and timeframes.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead detailed engineering design for building services, including calculations, drawings, schematics, models, and specifications.

• Collaborate closely with architects, design teams, clients, and stakeholders, acting as a main point of contact.

• Manage projects from concept through to post–construction.

• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices.

• Provide technical expertise, review designs, and support the development of junior team members.

• Represent the business professionally and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years experience in mechanical design engineering.

• Strong technical knowledge and hands–on design experience.

• Project management experience is highly advantageous.
