Overview

Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer – Leeds. Competitive package. Security clearance required. This international engineering consultancy seeks an ambitious Chartered (or near) Mechanical Engineer to help spearhead sustainable building services projects across defence, healthcare, and commercial sectors from their Leeds office.

You'll be in a key role delivering cutting–edge, low carbon solutions while developing your leadership and commercial skills within an outstanding building that is less of an office and more of a workplace.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be supporting the Associates and senior management team in the delivery of people- and environmentally focused buildings across defence installations, commercial developments, industrial facilities, retail spaces, healthcare centres, educational establishments and leisure complexes across both public and private sectors.

It is essential that:

• You are degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a closely related discipline
• You possess, or are actively working towards, Chartered Engineer status with CIBSE.
• You have been working within mechanical building services design to UK standards for at least 10 years.
• You can obtain security clearance to MOD "SC" level
• You have experience with modelling software for energy analysis and dynamic simulations

You should have:

• Natural leadership qualities with ambition to develop technical teams
• Commercial awareness combined with technical expertise
• Passion for sustainable design and low carbon solutions
