Job description
PURPOSE

A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Drive the roll out, provide guidance and monitor adidas’s environmental supply chain strategy, program and targets for Sourcing suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead adidas environmental management program on supply chain in your key countries in collaboration with key functions within adidas.
  • Project manage and lead onboarding for all new Footwear Tier 2 facilities to the adidas environmental program, guidelines, tools and indicators.
  • Ensures facilities full fulfillment of all adidas environmental programs requirements and targets.
  • Provide the expertise to the suppliers on technical issues around energy, waste, water, chemical management and/or wastewater in the Global Supply Chain.
  • Identify the areas of risk and provide recommendations in respect of those risks, based on legal obligations, commitments and/or Social & Environmental Affairs requirements.
  • Assess the environmental indicators to track performance of suppliers and provide business partners with clear summary on supplier performance under his/her coverage.
  • Provide guidance, capacity building and technical knowledge to facilities on all environmental issues to drive improvements.
  • Identify training needs of in the supply chain and provide training and conduct regular advisory to ensure suppliers meet reporting deadlines in the sustainability systems.
  • Increase internal awareness and knowledge about adidas environmental program achievements.
  • Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally.
  • Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
