Overview
The Senior Manager – Marketing and Sales will drive student enrolment through strategic sales initiatives, impactful marketing campaigns, and strong relationship management. The ideal candidate will blend commercial acumen, creative marketing instincts, and a deep understanding of both the fashion and education sectors. This role is critical in ensuring JCA grows as a globally recognised destination for fashion education and entrepreneurial excellence.
Responsibilities
- Marketing & Brand Development: lead bold, integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms to enhance brand visibility and student recruitment; manage SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, events, PR, and content strategies to maximise engagement; oversee creation of marketing materials aligned with JCA’s premium brand positioning; analyse campaign performance and report ROI to inform future strategies; champion JCA’s brand across all touchpoints; collaborate with internal teams to launch new programmes using effective go-to-market strategies; manage and attend key events (open days, exhibitions, graduate showcases) to promote the academy.
- Sales & Recruitment: actively promote JCA’s academic offerings to prospective students locally and internationally; conduct consultations and follow-ups via face-to-face meetings, phone, email, and digital channels; meet and exceed monthly and quarterly enrolment targets through effective, results-driven campaigns; manage and maintain the CRM system for accurate, up-to-date student data.
- Partnership Development: build and maintain strong relationships with education agents, suppliers, schools, and community organisations; support and engage with international recruitment partners and channel stakeholders; represent JCA at education fairs, recruitment events, and partner activities in the UK and abroad.
- Team & Stakeholder Leadership: lead and motivate a small, high-performing sales and marketing team; collaborate with academic leaders, operations, and external partners to align recruitment goals and brand messaging; manage marketing budgets and agency relationships to ensure cost-effective campaign execution with measurable ROI; use data and analytics to track performance, evaluate KPIs, and optimise future initiatives.
Qualifications
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, ideally within higher education or luxury/creative industries.
- Proven track record in student recruitment and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
- Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making; proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and digital marketing platforms; skilled in SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media, and email/CRM marketing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable
- Experience in student recruitment or education consultancy; knowledge of trends in UK and international higher education markets; multilingual skills are an asset.
- Experience building and executing partnerships with education institutions and recruitment networks.
