Job summary

A leading distribution operation in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking motivated Maintenance Technicians and a Senior Maintenance Technician. The roles require strong electrical skills and experience in maintaining conveyor systems. Senior Technicians will lead the maintenance team and ensure efficient operations. The positions offer competitive hourly rates, ongoing training, and a supportive work environment focused on safety and reliability. Full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

  • Recognized qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in maintenance of belt and roller conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings.
  • Experience with PLC-controlled systems preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on conveyor and sortation systems.
  • Organise and allocate maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
  • Support fault-finding and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance documentation and reporting.
  • Identify operational issues and take corrective action.
  • Liaise with Operations and Control Room teams to coordinate activities.
