Senior Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance of traffic signal assets, ancillary equipment, and highways systems
  • Conduct periodic inspections and electrical testing of traffic signal infrastructure
  • Collect and process data to enable fault‑free analysis of equipment performance
  • Analyse performance data to ensure contractual compliance and maintain accurate records
  • Support emergency repairs and out-of-hours service contract requirements
  • Commission traffic signal installations and ancillary systems
  • Complete mandatory NHSS training and undertake ongoing technical training as needed
  • Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably requested within the scope of the role
Qualifications & Experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Proficient in product-specific software and IT systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach to learning
  • Experience working at heights and outdoors (desirable)
  • Experience testing electrical equipment in industrial environments (desirable)
  • Previous experience with traffic signal and ancillary equipment (desirable)
