Senior Software Engineer - Java - Navigation Platform

• Eindhoven, NL - Hybrid

We’re supporting a global leader in digital navigation and location technology on a major acceleration of their mapping platform roadmap across three core teams.

You’ll join one of several cross-functional product teams working on next-generation map data, tools and services used by automotive, mobility and enterprise customers worldwide.

Depending on your background and interests, you could be working on:

• Map and tooling UI - building web-based tools that visualise road networks and allow engineers to define where automated driving features can be activated.
• Map data pipelines & compilers - processing huge volumes of geospatial data and turning them into a coherent, high-quality map used by downstream services.
• Map APIs & cloud services - designing and operating the APIs and microservices that power routing, search and other location features at global scale.

What we’re looking for...

• Strong experience as a Senior Software Engineer with modern Java (and its ecosystem).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices or complex backend systems.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and modern development practices.
• Ability to work in a large, collaborative codebase and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves...

• Geospatial / mapping / navigation / location-based services experience.
• Automotive, mobility or ADAS / automated driving exposure.
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines, APIs at scale, or cloud-native systems.
