DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Senior Application Analyst to join our team specialising in Systems / Information Technology for Cummins in Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.
The role is fully on-site, 5 days/week at Darlington.
In this role, you will:
- Provide comprehensive application functionality, configuration, and support expertise for application software solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, technical experts, and software vendors on solution requirements, design, configuration, functionality gap resolution, implementation, support, maintenance, and enhancement of the applications.
- Lead smaller business impact and IT improvement projects, taking full accountability for project outcomes, and communicate project status effectively.
- Drive process improvements by leveraging continuous improvement tools and developing new standards and work methods.
- Support the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of manufacturing IT systems and processes.
- Investigate and resolve application and systems problems, ensuring innovation in functional delivery process improvements.
- Review the work of less-experienced team members, providing guidance and ensuring robust, reusable, and efficient designs.
- Create functional specifications for projects to ensure correct application and configuration.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for assigned applications.

- Ability to build relationships with senior leaders, managers, developers, testers, DBAs, and other IT stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or relevant experience.
- Proven experience with manufacturing companies and managing complex applications.
- Experience with manufacturing IT systems, including ERP, Dassault MES, cloud tech, IoT, Microsoft applications, and AI tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Good understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies like IIoT, robotics, computer vision, and analytics.
- Experience in developing test scenarios, system implementation, and issue resolution.
