Overview

Salary Range £45,000-£48,000 depends on experience.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mitie Intelligence Services (MIS) working as part of a wider team as an account-integrated resource embedded on a customer contract in Central London. This role will be focused on supporting the security operations of a major multinational insurance, wealth and retirement company with a global footprint. The role will focus on delivering a portfolio of intelligence services to support the organisation in identifying and assessing risks to their people, assets and events, working alongside a range of key internal and external stakeholders.

The Intelligence Hub's remit is to provide an open-source intelligence (OSINT) capability to Mitie, and for Mitie's clients. The Intelligence Hub is responsible for the identification of potential threats to our client's employees and business operations and the delivery of timely, actionable threat intelligence for the purpose of informing and facilitating our clients' decision-making process so identified threats can be mitigated. The Intelligence Hub also provides major incident communications support in response to a significant incident and bespoke, digital investigation services in response to unique and individual security requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a security intelligence-related environment, either within law enforcement, military, government, or the private sector. They will be a confident and assertive decision-maker with the ability to work in a highly dynamic, agile environment, with excellent judgement and communication skills. Comprehensive understanding of global security issues and their associated risks to business is key.

Responsibilities

• Working with the senior client, account manager, and other internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver a range of intelligence products and services related to customer security concerns.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with the customer, gain an in-depth understanding of their operational requirements and promote effective intelligence-based risk mitigation strategies.
• Responsibility for the creation of high-quality, relevant, and concise intelligence reports and briefings, covering threats to physical security and travellers such as terrorism, crime, and activism. This will include the production of intelligence products focused on threats to customer people, assets, and events.
• Work with the Intelligence Hub to support the identification, development, monitoring, and exploitation of open-source intelligence (OSINT) sources to produce timely alerts on customer priority intelligence requirements.
• Attending customer meetings as required to brief the strategic intelligence picture, as well as building customer relationships with various internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
• Present intelligence and structured reporting to the client leadership and if necessary, wider authorities.
• Complete ad-hoc projects as designated by management or client, on time, and to a high standard of quality.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO27001 and Company and Client quality standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree-educated, or an equivalent qualification, in a relevant subject matter area.
• At least three years of previous experience working within a threat intelligence environment, such as within the military, government, law enforcement or security sectors.
• Highly skilled in building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners. Reliable, flexible, and discrete.
• Ability to formulate logical and measured assessments of risk/threat based on information available while understanding the intelligence requirements of customers.
• Demonstrable experience in processing and analysing both qualitative and quantitative data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and fluency in both spoken and written English.
• Effective time management and the agility to rapidly pivot between a broad range of time-critical client requests.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the geopolitical and global threat landscape and associated security threats.
• Experience in interrogating and exploiting social media platforms as a source of threat intelligence.
