Overview

Working at MFT means contributing to one of the NHS’s most progressive IT departments. MFT is delivering real time information and cutting edge technology to patients and staff, including the enterprise Electronic Patient Record (Hive) and data warehousing and business intelligence to support decision making for clinical and operational staff.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, automate and streamline regular report processes in SQL, including current statutory and operational reports.
  • Communicate and visualise complex data to develop a shared understanding of the health and care environment.
  • Lead on the development of technical solutions to support the organisation, working within the Analytics and Insights team and collaborating with colleagues across Information Services and Data Assurance.
  • Contribute to a performance-focused culture where safety, effectiveness and patient experience are delivered through high-quality performance information, analytical interpretation, benchmarking, forecasting and intelligent modelling.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to interpret requirements and transform them into technical specifications.
  • Support the creation and delivery of information to enable evidence-based decision making for clinical and operational staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Real eye for detail and an analytical mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to liaise with stakeholders to interpret requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in a range of IM&T areas.
  • Experience using information analysis techniques and tools such as SQL, Access, Excel (including Pivot Tables).
  • Power BI experience is desirable.
  • Experience of working with NHS data is desirable; exceptional candidates without NHS experience will be considered.
  • Hybrid working model: on-site two to three days per week.
