Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the United Kingdom is looking for a Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability (HSES) specialist to monitor compliance and ensure safety at project sites. The ideal candidate will possess a NEBOSH National Diploma and experience in the construction sector. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, preparing reports, and promoting a positive safety culture among teams. This role is crucial for maintaining legal compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety practices.

Qualifications

  • Ability to influence and promote a positive HSES culture.
  • Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulatory Framework.
  • Ability to prepare formal written reports on HSES topics.
  • Broad experience of complex construction and civils projects.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned project inspections and deliver pre-work site inspections.
  • Prepare written reports post site visits and inspections.
  • Monitor specific environmental aspects and develop procedures to ensure compliance with ISO 14001.
  • Deliver training sessions to personnel and contractors.
