This role will entail managing a small team of HR professionals, this role ensures consistent, compliant, and compassionate HR support that balances individuals needs with operational priorities

Description
  • Lead, coach and develop the HR team to deliver responsive and effective HR support.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality across all areas.
  • Monitor workload distribution and team performance, identifying opportunities for development and process improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and support on complex employee relations matters including absence, conduct, performance, and grievance issues.
  • Ensure fair and legally compliant outcomes, balancing policy with individual circumstances.
  • Support and coach managers in preparing for and conducting formal meetings, including investigations and hearings.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth experience for employees and managers.
  • Assist with policy interpretation and application, ensuring clarity and consistency across departments
  • Ensure all HR activity is aligned with current employment legislation and company values.
  • Contribute to the development of HR practices that reflect fairness, flexibility and operational needs
  • Build strong working relationships with managers and employees across the business.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering practical and tailored HR guidance.
  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to support projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Design and deliver engaging essential manager skills training to support leadership capability and confidence.
