Qualifications

  • A current practising certificate - Barrister, Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
  • Extensive experience in not just disrepair but all housing law areas.
  • Experience of working in either a local authority or a housing association ideally, although candidates from private practice with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to go to court.
  • Ability to attend the office twice per week.

Responsibilities

  • To handle a more complex caseload of housing litigation and advisory work, including: disrepair, possession, landlord and tenant and general housing advice.
  • Deputise for the principal lawyer as required.
  • Manage a group of staff within the team.
  • Attend court as required.
