Qualifications

• HCPC Registration is mandatory.
• MSc or equivalent in relevant discipline is preferred.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in a Cellular Pathology laboratory required.
• IBMS Diploma in Histological Dissection is essential.
• 5+ years' experience in Cellular Pathology expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dissection areas in Histopathology closely with clinical leads.
• Participate in surgical dissection of diagnostic specimens.
• Coordinate specialist clinical technical services.
• Train and supervise section staff and visiting personnel.
• Manage clinical governance systems within teams.
• Develop services in line with clinical and research needs.

Education

HCPC Registration

MSc or FIBMS in relevant discipline

Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience

IBMS Advanced Specialist Diploma in Histological Dissection
