Job summary

A leading civil engineering business is seeking a Health and Safety Manager in Seascale. The successful candidate will drive HSEQ management for major infrastructure projects supporting nuclear operations. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards, conducting audits, influencing safety behaviors, and leading risk management strategies. Candidates must have experience in civil engineering projects, knowledge of CDM regulations, and a NEBOSH Diploma. This full-time permanent position offers a salary of GBP80,000 per annum and includes generous benefits such as a pension contribution and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

  • Experience on major civil engineering, infrastructure, or nuclear projects.
  • Ability to lead audits, investigations, and incident reporting processes.
  • Experience working on nuclear-licensed or similarly regulated high-security sites.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of HSEQ management for major infrastructure package.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with project leaders, construction teams, and stakeholders.

Skills

Demonstrable experience as a Health and Safety Manager
In-depth knowledge of CDM Regulations
Strong communication and leadership skills
Familiarity with Quality and Environmental standards
Security clearance (SC) or ability to obtain SC

Education

NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or similar discipline
