Overview

Senior Health & Safety Manager – HS2 Euston Station Redevelopment

Location: London Euston (4 days on site / 1 day hybrid)

Rate: £510/day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 3–6 months

Construction is underway on the £3bn redevelopment of Euston Station, part of the High Speed Two (HS2) programme. Current works include utility diversions, substations, and archaeological excavations, with station designs being refined to mitigate risks, incorporate safer, more efficient solutions.

We’re looking for a Senior Health & Safety Manager to join this landmark project, providing H&S leadership across design and construction. This is a high-profile role at the heart of the Euston Partnership (TEP) – a collaboration between HS2 Ltd, Network Rail, and the Department for Transport – ensuring the station is delivered safely, sustainably, and with long-term resilience.

The Role
  • Provide visible leadership and assurance across the Euston redevelopment.
  • Embed H&S by design, identifying and eliminating risks early in planning and design.
  • Support safe delivery during construction and embed occupational health strategies for long-term operation.
  • Champion HS2’s “Safe at Heart” culture across contractors, JV partners (Mace & Dragados), and stakeholders.
  • Lead investigations, provide oversight, and ensure compliance with assurance processes.
About You
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience on major, complex infrastructure projects – rail, airports, nuclear, utilities, or large civils.
  • Strong expertise in H&S by design and early-stage risk mitigation.
  • Proven ability to influence, engage, and lead across multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Analytical, problem-solving mindset with a track record of driving best practice.
