Overview
This position is for Agency (Senior HCA) who book shifts on an Ad-Hoc or block-booking basis. We have shifts Nationwide as well.
Responsibilities
- Administering medication and helping service users with immediate needs such as dressing, hygiene, and washing.
- Assisting and supporting HCAs; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Getting to know service users personally and providing companionship and emotional support to contribute to their well‑being.
- Liaising with Managers and other Team Leaders to coordinate care.
- Helping clients take part in leisure activities, such as day trips, and adapting care to individual needs as shifts vary.
- Providing high standards of nursing and care, developing strong relationships with service users, relatives, and senior staff.
- Maintaining accurate records, updating care plans, and using medical equipment appropriately.
- Maintaining a cheerful attitude and continuing training for compliance.
- Willingness to register on our app for compliance, timesheets, and shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Level 3 courses suited for Senior Healthcare Assistants (and higher).
- Willingness to obtain or maintain a Live enhanced DBS.
- Medication training is essential (can be provided).
- At least 3 months of paid experience within a UK care setting and the right to work in the UK.
- HCA can be trained for senior roles.
