Overview

Senior Healthcare Assistant

Abrams Healthcare is actively seeking experienced SHCA workers. We have an ongoing need for that role. HCA can be trained for senior roles. You must have or be willing to obtain a Live enhanced DBS. Medication training essential. Can be provided. The role involves working in areas such as Residential Homes and Council Care Homes.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medication and help service users with immediate needs such as dressing, hygiene, and washing.
  • Assist and support HCAs, liaise with Managers and Team Leaders.
  • Get to know service users personally and provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Liaise with managers and other team leaders to coordinate care.
  • Help clients take part in leisure activities, such as day trips (activities may vary by client).
  • Develop strong relationships with service users, relatives, and senior staff.
  • Provide good standards of medical care to service users, maintain accurate record-keeping, and update care plans accurately.
  • Operate appropriate medical equipment and maintain a cheery attitude; commit to ongoing training for compliance.
  • Register on the company app for compliance, timesheets, and shifts.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 months of paid experience within a UK care setting.
  • Right to work within the UK.
  • Live enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
  • Medication training essential (can be provided).
