A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer for an outside IR35 contract in Birmingham. The role involves leading a team, managing geotechnical construction phase support on the HS2 route, and working on-site for three days a week. Overview

The role requires a senior engineer to lead a team of engineers/graduates to support in managing the Geotechnical Construction Phase Support (CPS) on the HS2 route. The role will require managing the team delivering the Geotechnical CPS scope within a design area liaising with the technical lead and reporting to the Geotechnical CPS Discipline lead. The role requires co-locating in the client's construction site offices on the eastern side of Birmingham at least 3 days per week. In this role you will be supporting the contractor/ client on site managing issues that have arisen on site and supporting in validating design assumptions.

• Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Instrumentation and Monitoring (I&M)
• Manage the undertaking of earthworks and geotechnical data logging
• Geotechnical Feedback Report (GFR)
