Idex Consulting is working with an award-winning Financial Planning firm that is looking for a Senior Wealth Planner for their Edinburgh Office.

You will work alongside a Chartered Financial Planner and a junior Financial Planner, providing advice and support, especially to the junior planner.

You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to help shape the office and participate in major decisions.

You will manage an existing client book while also developing new business through professional connections.

You will act as a mentor to less experienced team members and assist in their ongoing development.

The role involves inheriting a client bank of 70 clients with a recurring revenue in the region of £k.

You will be supported by a team of excellent administrators and paraplanners.

Responsibilities
  1. Contact clients and arrange meetings, either in-office or at clients' homes or businesses.
  2. Conduct in-depth reviews of clients' financial situations, current provisions, and future goals.
  3. Analyze information and prepare tailored financial plans.
  4. Complete risk analyses.
  5. Research the marketplace and inform clients about new and existing products and services.
  6. Assist clients in making informed decisions.
  7. Gather information from various sources, including financial product providers.
  8. Review and adapt to clients' changing needs and circumstances.
  9. Promote and sell financial products to meet sales targets.
  10. Negotiate with product suppliers for favorable rates.
  11. Liaise with head office and financial service providers.
  12. Stay updated on financial products and legislation.
  13. Notify clients of new financial products or legislative changes affecting their investments.
  14. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including disclosure and transparency.
  15. Maintain regular client meetings, providing high-quality service in line with company standards.
  16. Plan and generate a pipeline to meet business targets.
  17. Act in a compliant manner, adhering to FCA rules and regulations, while delivering excellent customer service.
